TCCL to supply SCADA system to supervise, monitoring and control of HV station for one of large private factory.  The new SCADA system for private factory is set to include standard SCADA functionality; alarm management system; real-time and historical trending; transmission & distribution control and dispatch. it will manage power distribution of 5 distribution substations in the region and to be 10 substations in the future.

TCCL to supply a second lot of IEC61850 Substation Automation to MEA substations, Metropolitant Electricity Authority of Thailand, for Mai-Ad and Pathumwan Substation. the SA system will be a full scheme PACiS/DS Agile ALSTOM latest IEC61850 control system. It would comply to MEA's most strengthen requirement of "Substation Automation System based on IEC61850 standard". the sytem due to be delivered October 2015 and commsionign end of 2015 latest.

IEC61850 process bus is a future of Substation Automation of the world. While very promising, the SV-based process bus improved flexibility of the system, reduced CT saturation concerns and open current circuit conditions prevention are some of the most important advantages of this system.

A complet system of AMU + Protective relay process bus input + Advanced BCU was delivered to customer's house for testing and commissioning. A selected Px4x (P446, P841) of MiCOM Alstom Px4x relays was delivered with IEC 61850-9-2LE interface. The interface allows the IEDs to receive currents and voltages as sampled values at 80 samples/cycle from conventional or non-conventional instrument transformers via appropriate Merging Units. For this project we delivered two units of Agile AMU to supply SV to the protective relay.

We are about to supply the first process bus protection system to one of Thailand large utility. The Agile AMU, ALSTOM MiCOM Px4x with process bus interface to be supplied in substation to replace the exisitng conventional hard wiring at 115kV bay.

NEW Software 51 - Order Book Open

The MiCOM ALSTOM Feeder Management IEDs are now available with software 51. This software allows new enhancements and protection improvements, in P141-5 range of products.

The software 51 new features:

• New model option in P143 with 48 inputs and 16 outputs in a 80TE case (option letter P). This reduces Customer’s additional hardware for signalling and interlocking purpose.
• New minimum over current and earth fault protection setting, reduced to 5% from the existing 8% for applications with very high fault current.
• New addition of 8 sets of switch control logic, LN XSWI for controlling / monitoring of disconnectors and earth switches.
• Sum of switched amperes modelled on XCBR in IEC61850.
