Dear Customer,Alstom Grid launches an interactive product catalogue, easing your choice of the right device for each application. Using a PC tool in synergy with MiCOM S1, you answer a few questions to choose the latest applicable full model number, which then allows the configuration and setting workflow to continue. A copy to clipboard facility allows you to copy the model result as text, for easy pasting into specifications, ordering systems etc.

- MiCOM Alstom P642/3/5 New Features:
- Tripping of low-set differential can be up to twice as fast - Patented waveform recognition techniques bypass 2nd harmonic detection of inrush current
- Transient bias for the differential reduces CT dimensioning typically by 25%
- Restricted earth fault additions: (1) High impedance REF, (2) Autotransformer overall wrap REF

As part of our programme of continuous advancement of PC tools, a new release of MiCOM S1 Studio is available. Our advice is that all users should please click on the link below, such that you keep in-step with the latest features available. New version 3.4.1. offers:
- Improved tolerance of differences in MiCOM minor model number and software releases, and the setting files created in MiCOM S1 Studio.
- This is to boost interoperability of historical AREVA-branded files with Alstom-rebranded relays, and vice-versa.
- Improved prompting of Users for required password entries, when MiCOM relays are deployed in cybersecure modes.
- Digital channel label improvements for Px30 relay COMTRADE files.
- Improved retrospective compatibility with legacy PSL files.
- Improvements in Russian text, and MCL file creation for several models
